The tables from the 2015 CBMS Statistical Abstract of Undergraduate Programs in the Mathematical Sciences in the United States are now available.
The Association of Mathematics Teacher Educators has released its Standards for Preparing Teachers of Mathematics. These are comprehensive, aspirational standards describing a national vision for the initial preparation of all teachers PreK-12 who teach mathematics.
Lewis-Burke Associates has just released its analysis of the President’s proposed 2018 budget. It includes $6.653 billion for NSF, $819 million or 11% below the FY 2017 enacted budget, and 11.2% below the FY 2016 budget. Some of the details are given below.
